Stephen is his name! Stephen is his name! ‘Braveheart’ tour which we were able to customize due to Stephen’s flexibility and he was lovely. Kelpies, Stirling, Monument, etc. He was able to adjust to what we were looking for which was one insane Wallace fan and a family of six others who saw the movie and were excited about it somewhat. Hit the highlights, moved quickly, and was an amazing day - the monument being the highlight, and the visit the Highland Coos - kids had an absolute blast! Thanks Stephen!

Our travel experience in Scotland was made infinitely better because of Stephen! Because we were only in Scotland a week, and did not want to be stressed about driving on the “other “side of the road we reached out to Stephen as we planned our trip.
From the first contact we made with him via email, until our last goodbyes including a big burly hug, every aspect of our two days were full of awe, laughter, curiosity, and inspiration.
I have learned over time to always defer to the experts when planning, and did so with Stephen. We simply told him we wanted one day at St. Andrews and one day in the Highlands, and he took it from there.
Stephen picked us up at our hotel at the exact time we had arranged. He began asking us where we would like to go on our way to the Highlands, and we immediately laughed because we knew nothing! We talked as he got to know us and our travel style. He pointed out things of interest, stopped at selected places, as well as few surprises along the way, including ruins, waterfalls, castles, setting from movies, and the “coos”. We saw some of the most beautiful parts of the Scottish Highlands!
Our trip to St. Andrews was such a grand day. We were celebrating our 49th Wedding anniversary, and to our surprise, Stephen had a lovely card and gift waiting for us in the car!
That was the beginning of a glorious day!
He was the ultimate guide to all things St. Andrews, including the ins and outs of the golf course, which was a particular passion for my husband.
Stephen’s gift of conversation and banter, his choice of music, extensive knowledge of Scottish history, geography and culture, and innate ability to know what we would like were all priceless, not to mention he was an excellent driver! And hilarious 🙂

Travel with an old friend (recently made) We have had three trips now with Stephen Maloney, owner of Edinburgh Cab, and traveling with him is like hanging out with a good friend. Lots of conversation and laughing, questions and answers, and sightseeing and history. Excellent guide!

We planned a day from Edinburg to Stirling to include Stirling Castle, Rob Roy's grave and other places in the area. Stephen listened to our personal interests, offered a few other stops specific to that information on top of finding a great lunch place! He provided "history" lessons through the day to help us understand the significance of each place; very knowledgeable man, pleasant and an absolute joy! The most amazing day, well worth the cost for a private "tour" not bogged down with people, long waits, etc. We will definitely reach out to him if/when we return to Scotland.
